We
have a little online community, based in a Blackboard interactive
classroom site. Students enrolled in that community will be
able to post resumes, brainstorm and conference about project ideas, and
also make themselves available to various project team
leaders.
For
example, if you're a web designer looking for a cool project to work on,
you can check out the projects being talked about in the Discussion
Board. If you love the project and want to get more involved,
contact the person with the idea, see if you can make a deal.
(Think of this as a professional opportunity: you're auditioning for a
job on a great team. You're auditioning to make that team
great.)
Likewise,
if you're a person with a project idea, but you don't know, say, a web
designer, this site will provide a way for you to find one.
Also,
this site may serve as a networking area for projects besides the iComm
grant projects. As time goes by, we'd even like to include
information about other grant and funding opportunities available for
creative and innovative work. Sticking around, we hope, will be
worth your time.
To
sign up to be on the site, go here: http://www.bsu.edu/webapps/blackboard/index.asp,
and follow directions to sign up for the iCommunication Student Media
Production Site.
Once
your enrollment is approved, go to http://my.bsu.edu
to view the site, post your resume, and start moving and shaking.
